Mission 1: Controlled Movements - Straight Lines

Knowing how to control the movements of your robot will help you greatly in programming.  Guessing and checking can work, but doing so can take a lot of time.  Let's learn how we can track the movements of our robot, and how we can use math to solve our robotics challenges quickly!

On Table 1, there is a line that measures 100 cm and 40 in. long.  We measure distance in inches or centimeters, but we program our robot in rotations and degrees.  We need a way to translate from one form of measurement to the other.  You will be using the Learning Mission 1 Worksheet to help you practice and become familiar with these conversions.  As you get more practice, you'll be more prepared to use these conversions on the challenge missions themselves!
